Hi,
this is my first post to the forum, i have just purchased a 170bhp version V5. in the engine bay situated in between the coolant expansion bottle and the screen wash bottle, and next to the power steering resevoir sits....well, something! what is it please? its making a strange noise

Hi Phil,

If it's a black thing that makes a ticking noise then it's a carbon cylinder and is nothing to be concerned about - it's a bit like a bomb - only worry if it stops ticking...!

If it is the carbon cylinder it can be removed, there are plenty of removal guides around.
